The Military Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) business has multiple customers that require spare parts to support in service APUs around the world. Detailed planning for these requirements is critical to meet aggressive customer repair turn around times and spare part requirement need dates. The main responsibilities for this position include:
Integration of customer forecasts for material requirements
Validation of customer order placement
Management of the 36 month MAM process used to load MRP
Working with the industrial management and operations to coordinate program material priorities among OEM/MRO/Spares requirements
Ensuring correct material set up in SAP such that all demand is flowing properly
Coordinating with Logistic Program Manager to ensure customer material requirements are met on time
Oversight of distributor agreements and performance
Expedite critical items to support APU/LRU repair and spare parts delivery requirements and MICAPS
Coordinate with other functional groups to manage part allocation between spares, MRO, and production needs
Additionally, this position will have a combined role as a back-up procurement person to create repair POs.. Accordingly, this is considered a buyer position and will be dotted lined to a procurement organization and will require buyer training.
This individual must support the departmental compliance to UTC Code of Ethics, EH&S, Export procedures, P&W Policies & Procedures.
Candidate will generate various reports from the SAP and will create key process metrics reports required to manage customer requirements status. Knowledge of Micro Soft Access, Oracle or Business Warehouse query writing skills to enhance reporting capability is a plus.
Focus on Continuous Improvement through the use of the ACE Operating System and tool usage required.
Candidate must have the ability to successfully interface with various internal departments and business units at all company levels as well as building relationships with external customers and suppliers through exceptional support.
Previous experience in engineering, customer service or materials role preferred.
SAP transactional experience
MS Office proficiency a must
Knowledge of government contracting a plus
ACE Associate or similar process improvement experience is preferred
