The Hot Section Engineering Mechanical Design Discipline Organization is looking for a highly motivated individual to be a Design Discipline Manager supporting a variety of programs. This is a supervisory position working with the Progam Aligned Design Discipline Managers in ensuring technical excellence and task execution. There are also requirements for talent development and mentorship of the less experienced engineers. Excellent communication skills are highly desirable to work across the various levels of the organization.

This position along with the Program Aligned Discipline Managers will be responsible for developing and sustaining hardware to meet or exceed module and system requirements and will work collaboratively to solve problems with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and system design teams. The candidate will be responsible for supporting their direct reports in all aspects of the tasks and ensuing the successful execution of PW's engineering process called Engineering Standard Work.

Qualification:

A minimum of ten (10) years of industry experience is required. Strong proficiency and a demonstrated record of accomplishments in the Mechanical Design discipline is required. A broad understanding of the components owned by HSE and the associated approaches applied to combustors, turbine airfoils, rotors, shafts, frames/cases, and exhaust systems is desired.

Proven history in leading or materially contributing to component and/or system root cause investigations is required

Understanding of the ACE methodologies including process certification tools like Six Sigma is highly preferred.
