We have an immediate opening for an Industrial Engineer in our Troy, OH facility.
The Industrial Engineer/Analyst primarily establishes work measurement procedures to originate and maintain work standards for direct labor in various production areas in conjunction with the policies, practices, applications, and current labor agreements. Additional investigation and evaluation of operations pertaining to the application of manpower, machine resources, material, procedures, etc., to optimize their utilization in order to produce goods at the total lowest cost as requested by operations management. Further responsibilities include the leading or supporting both long term strategies and short term goals relating to inventory management. Supports Master Scheduling and Production Control Supervisor with regard to updating and maintaining capacity planning tool(s). Summary of Key Responsibilities: •Support various SIOP processes and requests as needed. •Implementation of logistics from the line back focusing on part presentation, quantity, and tact delivery •Support, design, and implement packaging initiatives for part presentation to external customers.
Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field and a minimum of 5-7 years of industrial engineering or manufacturing operations exposure.
Demonstrated experience leading continuous improvement initiatives, including Kaizen events
Must be able to verify US Person status
Project management experience
Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume, mixed model industry.
2 years relevant ERP and/or MRP system experience.
Excellent written and verbal communications at all levels of the organization.
Strong computer (excel, word, power point) skills.
Experience in material handling
