We have an immediate need for an ACE/CI Specialist at our Spokane Carbon Operations site in Spokane, WA.Reporting to the Site Manager, this position will collaborate and work with the Site and employees to drive the implementation of ACE strategies and tools (standard work, variation analysis through value stream mapping, root cause analysis, process certification and process management). The selected individual will teach, guide and lead the transformation of production cells and business workgroups to achieve the highest levels of the ACE Operating System.
The duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
Lead the site to achieve ACE Silver/Gold status.
Support leadership team in alignment of Policy Deployment to Macro Plan. Develop a strategy and comprehensive plan of ACE activities to support meeting IT goals.
Focus on the elimination of waste through process improvement by use of the relevant ACE tools to yield positive results in direct/indirect labor savings, WIP reduction, and cycle time reductions.
Develop and coordinate implementation of ACE tools to solve problems across Operations and the Site.
Provide regular reports to management and ACE Council as to progress of local ACE cell certification status and potential barriers to progression.
Provide organizational development through training, teaching, coaching and mentoring of leaders and employees. Encourage the use of ACE tools to meet business objectives.
Drive Kaizen, Lean, and Value Stream events in operations to closure through cell/workgroup assessments and value stream analysis. Lead, coach, motivate and work with teams and ACE champions to close projects.
Implement solutions and controls that ensure sustainability to meet the business plan.
Facilitate the communication of project objectives and progression through presentations and reports development and delivery.
6-10 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with 3-5 years’ experience in a Continuous Improvement role. Aerospace industry strongly preferred.
Demonstrated success in leading a site to achieve Silver/Gold status.
Energetic, self-motivated and capable of prioritizing multiple deliverables in a fast paced environment.
Strong analytical skills, able to extract conclusions from multiple data sources, and provide strategic recommendations to further Site achievements.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to work in and at all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated ability to facilitate training and engage a workforce in ACE/CI activities
Proficient with Microsoft office and presentation skills.
