Defines, designs and implements continuous improvement programs to ensure programs are integrated vertically and horizontally across the organization. Defines improvement projects aligned with business strategies. Has an understanding of the fundamentals of lean and lean daily management. Guides and counsels local Value Stream leadership on lean issues. Support and plan events in line with the Value Stream's Macro Plans and Policy Deployment. Helps identify and remove barriers to implementation of Continuous Improvement (CI) processes. Monitors progress of CI within the organization. Provides CI training and teaching (OJT). Helps develop and present CI training materials and modules with and under the guidance of the CI leadership. Has a reposity of CI knowledge and helps develop and provide CI tools, materials and training. Assists with the necessary follow-up actions to close out "to do" action items after Kaizen Events. Acts as a mentor to others. Possesses knowledge of CI and helps develop and provide CI tools. materials and training. Helps the Value Stream Leadership to progress down the Policy Deployment, Organization Evolution and Lean Skills development and application. Emulates the Lean and CI philosophies through actions and behaviors
Must have understanding of Lean tools and principals, open-minded and the ability to ask non-leading questions. Can support, plan for and facilitate multi-faceted events using lean principals. Demonstrates leadership skills across the organization while demonstrating mutual trust and respect. Effectively communicates the Value Stream's Policy Deployment plan. Capable of influencing and getting cooperation and action from others without directing control. Ability to effectively communicate, work and relate with people at all levels of the organization.
Demonstrates Lean knowledge and ability to apply. Can support, plan for and facilitate, lead or co-lead, either internal or extenal Kaizen events. Completion of ACE training required to achieve ACE certification
Self-sufficient and self-starter. Excellent knowledge of microsoft application such as: EXCEL, Word, Microsoft Office and Power Point presentations.
