Our Sustainability Services team focuses on improving the performance of new construction developments as well as existing buildings nationwide. Our clients are some of the most sophisticated in the country and look to NORESCO to champion their efforts towards high performance projects. For new developments, we provide a variety of sustainable certifications as well as commissioning, energy modeling and M&V. For existing building efforts, we provide everything from energy audits and retro-commissioning to turn-key construction. This flexible delivery means we have the ability to work on all building types including large commercial office, healthcare, multi-family, higher education, municipal and federal projects throughout the country. We have an immediate need for an Account Executive in the Mid-Atlantic (Philadelphia/DE/MD/VA/DC) region.
Here is a look at the responsibilities for this position:
Penetrate new markets and expand existing markets to increase client base and opportunities for revenue generation for NORESCO.
Come with a rolodex of contacts and relationships that you can immediately translate into billable projects at profit margins that will allow NORESCO to grow sustainably.
Sell professional consulting services locally, nationally, and potentially internationally in the areas of: sustainable design, LEED services, energy modeling, commissioning, retro-commissioning, measurement and verification, codes and standards, building science, and turn-key solutions including construction implementation.
The ability to develop and implement a sales plan.
Develop and growing long-term relationships with customers.
Make technical presentations and demonstrating how a service meets client needs and persuading clients that a product or service best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery.
Analyze costs and negotiating contract terms to meet both client and company needs.
Utilize software tools to record and maintain client contacts and opportunities.
Preparing weekly pipeline and sales projection reports; preparing reports for senior management.
Support marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events.
Secure appointments with corporate executives, architects, engineers, construction managers and administrators
Here is a look at the requirements for this position:
Minimum 5 years industry experience (energy consulting, architectural, engineering, construction)
Minimum 3 years technical sales experience with proven successful year after year quota attainment and growth.
Demonstrated track record of multi-million dollar sales years
Strong work ethic and a desire to achieve higher levels of income
Ability to quickly identify, qualify and present to the “C” level decision makers
Ability to handle value-driven negotiations
Ability to flourish in a highly goal-oriented environment.
Strong organizational and communication skills with both clients and internal engineering and sales support teams.
CEM, LEED and/or PE certification is a plus
Working knowledge of building energy systems and energy plant operations
An understanding of demand-side energy conservations measures
Knowledge of marketplace and ability to provide feedback, including competitive information, customer expectations and industry trends for sustainability services.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficient understanding of Salesforce.com
