Job Summary

  • Work with Integrated Product Teams to design and apply cost effective processes for new product designs. Conduct Manufacturing Process Reviews to develop and apply Part Family Process Standards, Work with business unit management, cell leaders, and shop personnel to develop and improve processes in a timely manner to meet delivery, cost reduction and COPQ improvement targets.

  • Provide customer focus, team leadership, budget, schedule and deliverables accountability for assigned projects.

  • Assist with business case development for current and new programs and manage technology risk using a gated technology review process.

  • May require off-shift coverage based on business requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of engineering experience with a preference for manufacturing engineering

  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English

Preferred Qualifications

  • The position requires candidates to demonstrate a high level of proficiency in the application of continuous improvement tools: process certification, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Six Sigma, and set-up reduction are examples of the continuous improvement skills required.

  • Experience and knowledge of machining and assembly processes, including tool application. CAD experience is required.

  • Individual must be self-motivated, a demonstrated team player and be flexible in schedule and function.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Strong computer skills

  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously

Education:

Required

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering / Industrial Engineering or related Bachelors’ degree
