JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the overall strategy, tactical planning, and operational execution of the Geared Turbofan Product Family High Pressure Compressor Case and Vane set, including component repair and assembly machined in case. This oversight includes:

  • Ensure all Machined In Case Project timelines met

  • Coordinate Repair development timelines as appropriate

  • Ensure Customers are tied in with status of Work In Process on the shop floor

  • Ensure all customer required measurements are provided within the timeline to execute a Machined In Case repair

  • Ensure a successful Cell start up, address any functional deficiencies

  • Provide leadership and direction for all Machined In Case repair issues, coordinating with customers, the Integrated Product Team, Design Engineering, and North Berwick Repair Operations to ensure issues identified are driven to closure in the timeliest manner possible.

  • Be the focal point for all external communication regarding any element of Machined In Case repair.

Position must coordinate resources in engineering, operations, and quality to support the position objectives.

Position will have responsibility to oversee production planning, scheduling, allocation of resources, budget, inspection, and work flow. This position is critical to the overall success of North Berwick Repair Operations and will give the selected candidate the opportunity to refine and continue to develop key leadership competencies along with an experience in a wide range of operational aspects of the business.

Qualification:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of related experience

  • US Citizenship is required

  • Must be able read, write and speak English

  • Must be able to function in a matrix reporting structure

  • Must be able to lead with influence

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Project Management experience highly preferred

  • Strong operational and/or supervisorial experience with both hourly and/or salaried employees.

  • Strong Communication skills

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and adapt easily to changing business conditions

  • Strong customer focus, analytical skills and business knowledge

  • Strong ability to drive and deliver results

  • Passion and understanding for ACE and continuous improvement, to help drive the organization to ACE gold.

  • BA/BS degree in a business or technical discipline with 7+ years’ experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MA/MS degree with 5+ years’ experience
