Description:

The Process Engineering Technical Manager is responsible for the strategic leadership of Assembly/Process Engineering resources, technical strategies, and investment resources that support objectives of the Commercial/Industrial/Military production lines within the Production Engine Delivery Center.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead a team of Assembly/Process Engineers to execute program requirements in the Product Delivery Centers (Multiple Assembly Sites).

  • A passion for and detailed knowledge of configuration management for hardware.

  • Drive product cost reduction and ensure War on Cost targets are achieved through process improvements and deployment of new technologies .

  • Align Assembly Engineering resources with projects that support key business initiatives: Work Instruction Legacy transition to Solumina A&T, Lean transformation, etc.

  • Promote the use of data driven root cause and corrective action tool usage to support On-Time production, CAR (Corrective Action Request) closure and the Engine Centers journey towards ACE Gold status.

-Support all EH&S (Environment, Health & Safety) initiatives (PRA, Work-Fit, Ergo) by driving safe processes across all production product lines.

  • Effectively manage the Assembly/Process Engineering support budget.

  • Implement and execute engineering changes to ensure customer requirements are met and build commitments are achieved.

  • Develop, plan, & implement capital requirements to support productivity improvements, technology insertion and capacity for future programs.

  • Continue to ensure production readiness for multiple engine product lines as they move into high production ramp-up across all production assembly sites.

  • Lead/Participate in Employee Engagement initiatives and activities demonstrated through diverse work groups as part of the Engine Centers Leadership Team.

Qualification:

5 - 7+ years of industry experience.

Proficient organization and project management skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong SAP skills. Effective decision making skills. Applicant must be a self starter and capable of leading a team, working independently and working in a team environment.
