Description:

Pratt & Whitney AutoAir currently has an opening for an Industrial Engineer.

Responsibilities include, but are not limed to the following:

Planning/tracking for the manufacturing of aerospace flight components involving sheet metals and fiber reinforced composites.

Understanding of the assembly of composite laminated structures, bonded metal components and complex aerospace assemblies.

Able to manage system integration and perform Cost/Risk assessments.

Design and planning of cell layout for assembly and material handling.

Investigates, establishes, and implements requirements for equipment, tooling, and material, including make or buy decisions and facility layout as required for new or revised products.

Conduct tool "prove out" function on the shop floor with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, and Quality.

Interface with Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, and Quality.

Provide ISO9001/AS9000 documentation support.

Comply with EH&S Policy, rules, and requirements.

Actively support the organization's efforts to meet or exceed EH&S goals and plans.

Qualification:

Knowledge of elements involving composites, bonded metals, and aerospace hardware.

Understanding of composite or bonding processing.

Able to interpret manufacturing drawings and blueprints.

Ability to effectively team with multiple functional groups to reach a common objective.

Strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills and the ability to exercise mature judgment.

Demonstrated communication and leadership skills.

Proven application of continuous improvement culture, tools and competence.

Proficiency on the computer with Microsoft Office experience is required.

Familiarity with Visual Basic, Java, or similar system is preferred.
