Det-Tronics is hiring a Regional Sales Engineer.
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Generate business for Det-Tronics in the state of Louisiana.
Promote the specification of Det-Tronics products and systems with engineering companies, integrators and end-users.
Follow up on inquiries and achieve order intake targets.
Assist in the developing of the market for Det-Tronics products and systems and achieve growth of market share in both developed as well as new territories, with established as well as new customers.
Appoint and liaise with distributors and sales representatives in the designated territory.
Provide solutions and influence the specifications for fire and gas safety systems and products.
Identify market needs and maintain contact with research groups of major customer groups such as oil and gas organizations, and identify new concepts.
Introduce Det-Tronics, its products and systems end-users, distributors and customers in the form of seminars, exhibitions and product presentations.
Provide information on competitors and advise on market pricing.
Provide support to other departments when required. This would include the preparation and submission of quotations and technical support functions.
Provide a monthly report in a defined format.
Provide a monthly order/sales forecast.
Contribute in a major way the promotion and selling of Det-Tronics products and systems in the designated territories.
Maintain the market share of Det-Tronics products and systems.
Identify new opportunities.
Identify suitable agents/distributors where appropriate.
Identify threats to the market share of Det-Tronics products.
Ensure that Det-Tronics products are specified wherever possible on major projects.
Undertake other duties as assigned
Establish objectives in the terms of sales plans and targets, new product launches and new territory development.2. Organizing attain objectives.

Review and Control
- Achieving results as defined in targets by recommending and implementing strategies and by giving warning signals when strategies are not yielding results.
- Identifying opportunities for new and existing products in new and existing markets in the target territories.
State of Louisiana
Engineering background preferably in Electrical, Electronics or Chemical Engineering discipline
Thorough knowledge and background in fire and gas detection systems
Good communications skills
Excellent organizations skills
Ability to multi task, perform under stress, meet deadlines, deliver product and solution presentations
Must be able to perform essential job functions safely and work within established company guidelines
Extensive travel time expected (50%)
