Description:

The Global Mobility function is responsible for the management of the globally mobile workforce including international assignments and transfers. The Global Mobility Tax position will, in coordination with UTC corporate tax group, be responsible for the development and execution of global strategic tax initiatives involving a globally mobile workforce.

Main Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide strategic and operational tax support to the mobility program including administration of tax equalization policy, external tax vendor and corporate and statutory tax compliance.

  • Assist in development and implementation of tax strategies worldwide and entity registrations as required

  • Liaise with all functions of the UTC Tax Department to ensure global compliance, including but not limited to transfer pricing, corporate, indirect and social tax

  • Team with other departments such as Payroll, Accounting, Legal and Human Resources to ensure success of the mobility program

  • Monitor changes to tax legislation and regulatory requirements for changes to UTC standards

  • Be a strategic partner and expert advisor to the business unit managers and HR leaders that enable and support international employee mobility

  • Provide daily support for initiations of international assignments

Qualification:

  • Minimum 6+ years of global mobility/international tax experience

  • Strong foundation in US corporate taxation

  • Solid understanding of international transfer pricing principles, indirect tax and intercompany accounting and documentation

  • Compensation experience including IRC sections 83; 409A; 62; 3401; 3121;

  • Excellent experience with OECD treaty applications

  • Cross border business integration experience

  • Strong communicator with proven relationship skills and the ability to work with employees at all levels

  • Excellent organization, planning and decision making skills are essential, as well as the ability to balance the needs of the business and employees while meeting the requirements of the laws and regulations of home and host countries

Education: BS/BA degree in accounting, business or finance
