The System Integration Engineer is an integral member of the System Design and Component Integration (SD&CI) organization. The engineer may support any one or all of these activities; Integrates technical teams to define functional and mechanical interfaces between Propulsion System Component Integrated Product Teams (CIPTs), conducts trade studies to define the best system level solutions for the Propulsion System, negotiates Component Interface Coordination Requirements (CICRs), defines/documents the Propulsion System Requirements Document (PSRD), identifies and resolves issues with functional and mechanical interfaces, defines Bills of Materials (BOM) for development and production Propulsion Systems, and documents/tracks certification/verification of Propulsion System requirements. The System Integration Engineer may support technical reviews with internal and external customers that show compliance with Propulsion System Requirements Documents and Engine Specifications. The primary responsibility for this opening will be Requirements Management to ensure proper flow of requirements to CIPTs, and roll-up of Requirements Compliance status according to engineering standard work.
7+ years related experience in design or analysis of gas turbine engines or engine systems.
