Pratt & Whitney's Commercial Serviceable Assets (CSA) organization, part of the Transactional Aftermarket function of our Commercial Engines business, is embarking on a growth journey. As such, the organization is seeking to fill a sales manager position to lead sales efforts within CSA, work collaboratively with other sales executives and cross-functional teams and thrive in a dynamic, high energy, fast-paced environment to achieve business financial objectives.

Specific responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing and maintaining effective customer relationships and building credibility as a strategic business partner.

  • Understanding the serviceable material market to identify business opportunities/threats to Pratt & Whitney and develop offensive and defensive strategies to meet objectives and mobilize the resources to secure deals.

  • Gathering and analyzing data pertaining to material demand, forecast and sales of spare gas turbine engine parts.

  • Developing a deep understanding of the customer's business, processes and systems to create and maintain a competitive advantage for Pratt & Whitney.

  • Overseeing all aspects of customer order administration including processing orders/quotes, communicating material availability/pricing/delivery information and expediting requests.

  • Reviewing and discussing matters in technical service bulletins with customers.

  • Partnering with the Dallas Distribution Center (DDC), transportation and local carriers to expedite customer shipments.

  • Providing coverage, as needed, of all accounts in the group to assist coworkers.

  • Participating/leading off-hour customer support conference calls.

  • When required, function as a member of Pratt & Whitney Customer Focused Teams (CFTs).

  • Effectively utilize Commercial Engines spares and CSA standard work procedures.

  • Establishing full-year and monthly financial customer projections/updates for incorporation into the CSA sales plan.

Qualification:

Required Qualifications

7 + years of prior work experience which includes direct customer facing roles

Ability to work independently on projects, assigned tasks and cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

A history of successful business negotiations resulting in "win-win" outcomes for the business and customers

Ability to work independently on projects, assigned tasks and cross-functional teams

Prior aerospace aftermarket sales experience

Knowledge of gas turbine engine part nomenclature and gas turbine engine maintenance, repair and overhaul procedures

Familiarity with gas turbine engine operation and assembly methods

Working knowledge of SAP

Education:

Bachelor's degree in a business or related field of study with 7+ years of relevant work experience

Master's degree or higher in a business or related field of study with 5+ years of relevant work experience
