Reporting to the Vice President Sales, Middle-East & Africa, Commercial Engines (CE), the selected individual will be responsible for sales for customers in various locations in the region. The Sales Director defines and implements winning campaign strategies and is responsible for identifying, negotiating and capturing new engine business and long-term maintenance contracts. Accountability also includes developing and executing strategies across P&W’s Aftermarket businesses for maintaining existing business, as well as achieving profitable growth within the assigned territory. As the leader of the Customer Focus Team the Sales Director is expected to share vision, gain consensus and lead cross-functional teams in support of proposal development for all corresponding commercial initiatives.

Other critical responsibilities include:

  • Developing strong customer relationships at assigned accounts/territories

  • Assisting in the management of commercial elements in support of new aircraft deliveries

  • Balancing customer advocacy with the need to meet internal performance metrics

  • Driving customer disputes to resolution

  • Managing customer accounts and ensuring customer’s payments are made on time

  • Collection of any customer account overdue receivables

  • Preparing and maintaining briefings on customers for P&W and UTC senior management

  • Representing the company and promoting P&W products and services at industry events

  • Communicating challenging issues effectively with customers and potential customers

  • Ensuring all business is conducted in accordance with all UTC and P&W ethical guidelines and in compliance with all ITC requirements

  • Establishing, maintaining and extending relationships with airframers, government and regulatory agencies, leasing companies and other industry players to promote P&W CE products and Services, and

  • Collaborate effectively with all P&W and UTC functions including UTF, PWEL, CSA


Basic Qualification:

Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of work experience

Master's degree and 7+ years of work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

BS in Engineering or Business

Master's degree

Effective interpersonal skills and influencing abilities with internal and external customers

Strong customer focus

Industry knowledge

Demonstrated business acumen

Technical background desired

Leadership and teamwork
