The Regulatory Compliance Office (RCO) is part of P&W Group Quality and supports all P&W business units and on occasion other UTC organizations in matters of commercial aviation. In general, the duties of the RCO include providing mentoring and guidance on commercial regulatory matters to P&W business units, as well as coordinating commercial regulatory matters with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), foreign National Aviation Authorities (NAA), and aviation industry trade groups. This office also participates in FAA/NAA rulemaking activities to assure minimum impact/maximum benefit to P&W/UTC.
Regulatory Compliance Manager (RCM) position reports to the Executive Director, Quality Systems. The selected candidate will serve as the primary focal pertaining to commercial regulatory issue regarding P&W production business (OEM) and the P&W aftermarket segment (MRO). Responsibilities will include:
Direct Liaison to the FAA/NAA on various OEM/MRO regulatory matters;
Fostering and maintaining a cooperative relationship.
Manage a team of Regulatory Specialist in developing regulatory strategy and requirements for OEM and MRO P&W engine/article programs.
Provide leadership in solving Regulatory challenges, ensuring successful outcome for the Business Units and customers.
Manage P&W’s responses to FAA/NAA regulatory investigation and audits.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement through the use of the ACE Operating system.
Providing mentoring and guidance to P&W and UTC personnel on commercial aviation Production and MRO regulatory requirements.
Continue to foster partnership with operations to ensure full support of product delivery to customers.
Manage the implementation of new FAA/NAA regulatory requirements effecting P&W and its business units.
Attract, develop and mentor diverse talent in Group Quality.
10+ years of aerospace experience in an operations or quality management role with an emphasis on regulatory requirements.
Bachelors Degree in Operations, Engineering, Business Management or other relevant field.
Knowledge and the ability to articulate FAA and other NAA regulatory requirements for repair stations/authorized maintenance facilities, and/or manufacturing operations.
Knowledge of Quality Management System.
Demonstrated ability to lead change initiatives and drive process excellence.
Strong project planning and management skills.
Demonstrated ability to build, manage, energize and motivate high performing teams and the ability to influence organizations that do not report to you.
Adaptable to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy within a diverse organization;
