Job DescriptionThe Program Chief Manufacturing Engineer (PCME) supports Program Management Teams (IPMTs) to ensure proper execution of the IPD (Integrated Program Development) process. The PCME shall-define and maintain the Critical Parts List for an engine program-ensure Manufacturing Process Reviews are addressed for all parts on the Critical Parts List in the appropriate phase(s) of the Integrated Product Design process-identify and mitigate producibility risk by aligning Technology Plans, Technology Readiness Levels and Manufacturing Readiness Levels to the appropriate phase(s) of the Integrated Product Design process-utilize Manufacturing Engineering Standard Work and Manufacturing Process Reviews to assess product producibility and identify risks in the areas of capability, capacity, and cost.-review results of MSW execution, approve manufacturing development plans and ensure appropriate risk mitigation plans are in place.-support Industrial Capability and Production Readiness Assessments to ensure accuracy of Manufacturing Readiness Levels and concurrence with risks identified and mitigation plans-team with CIPTs and Procurement to evaluate capability of potential sources and alignment of producer capability with design requirements-participate in identification of cost drivers in part designs and support the development of plans to meet cost targets-leverage and coordinate Manufacturing Technical Resources to address producibility issues in the shop or at suppliers The PCME will also assist in developing and implementing improvements to Manufacturing Standard Work including Manufacturing Readiness Assessment (MRL), Cost Estimation, Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (PFMEA) and Production Part Approval Process (UPPAP)

Qualification:

Minimum of 10 years experience in Manufacturing with knowledge of multiple manufacturing processes in an aerospace quality environment required. Working knowledge of the IPD process and experience with The Enterprise Wide Cost Management process experience preferred.
