CSE currently has an opening for a Engineering Manager in the Methods and Applications Group.

Primary responsibilities for this position are as follows:

  • Lead a team of 9-15 practitioners in the implmentation of Airfoil and Turbomachinery component data capture, analytics, and manufacturing quality process improvements

  • Develop and Lead the strategic direction for Engineering and Operations Digital Inspection and Analytics

  • Advance the technology of existing systems to new platforms such as AWS and Hadoop

  • Execute the principals within the methods discipline ·

  • Provides cross-functional guidance and expertise

  • Support Integrated Product Teams in their implementation of Airfoil data capture, analytics, and manufacturing quality processes

  • Support Operations ability to integrate data back into their processes to improve product cost and yield

  • Coordinating project execution across multiple IPT's.

  • Managing budget to meet annual targets including development of annual program plans, roadmaps, allocation to projects, and identifying risks & opportunities.

  • Working with Customers and CSE Management to align execution


Candidates should have an interest and related experience in the following areas:

  • Turbo-machinery Components, including Airfoils

  • Digital data management / Enterprise workflows

  • Data analytics / Visualization

  • Computer Application Development / Software Life Cycle Methods / Agile

  • Manufacturing / Quality processes and procedures

  • Finite Element Analysis / CFD

  • Statistical Analysis / Multivariate methods

  • Surrogate Modeling / Emulation / Regression

  • General engineering process automation

Candidates should have experience with some of the following tools:

  • Python, JAVA, PERL, C++, NXOpen API, Workbench ACT API, Visual Studio, Netbeans, SVN, GIT

  • SmartUQ, R, Matlab, JMP, SAS, SQL, Teradata

  • Spotfire, Qlik

  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST, Websphere, Django

  • ANSYS Mechanical APDL / Workbench / Fluent, Platform LSF, NASTRAN, ABAQUS, LSDyna, Hyperworks
