The Manufacturing Engineering Development (MED) Program is a two-year rotational program targeted to prepare new college graduates for a career in manufacturing engineering. The program offers challenging assignments in the many disciplines of Manufacturing which include part manufacturing, assembly, and specialties such as Coating, Welding, Forging, and Machining.

This tactical supervisory role reports to the MED program manager and leads MED in-program participants. The candidate will also support the Manufacturing Engineering talent council by defining MED program learning opportunities, MED talent development and curriculum initiatives.

Responsibilities include:

  • Participate in on-campus college recruiting activities, on-site interviewing, and selection of new MED participants.

  • Perform all supervisory tasks for in-program MEDs.

  • Conduct periodic mid-assignment reviews with all MEDs.

  • Engage MEDs in discussions of current and forward-looking performance evaluations in order to enhance employee strengths and development opportunities.

  • Support ongoing employee development initiatives as a team member and coach.

  • Manage all training and system access requirements for individual assignments for each MED.

  • Provide world class support to internal Module Center ME Managers including responding to inquiries associated with MED assignment opportunities, assessing individual MED match for rotation, and coordinate placement for each MED to new rotation.

Qualification:

PW operations, product, and procedural knowledge desirable to enable development of technical rotational assignments.

  • MED Alumni preferred
