Hot Section Engineering (HSE) at Pratt & Whitney is currently looking for an experienced and highly-motivated Methods Engineer to join its team to lead our Aero Thermal Fluids and Structures focused methods initiatives. The Hot Section Engineering Advanced Methods group is responsible for the development, deployment, and support of game-changing design tools and processes. These tools and processes enable Pratt & Whitney to continually push the state of the art in gas turbine engine technology. The primary focus of this group is for Hot Section Engineering, but requires coordination and collaboration with other methods groups within Pratt & Whitney

In this role, the Methods Engineer will lead and directly supervisor a small methods team working strategic methods development tasks for thermal analysis, high temperature materials, and hot section lifing while also working directly with teams solving challenging problems focused on engine safety, reliability, capability, robustness, and affordability. The Methods Engineer will also be expected to develop strategic plans to identify and fill tool and process needs for their focus areas as well as support and maintain existing tools. B.S. degree in engineering is the minimum requirement for this position. Advanced degrees may benefit the candidate.
