Pratt & Whitney’s Columbus Engine Center (CEC) is at the core of PurePower® Geared TurboFan™ maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO). Over the last few years, the engine center has transformed into the GTF MRO powerhouse that it is today, leading the way for a number of GTF MRO network facilities to follow. Pratt & Whitney continues to make significant investments in technology and resources to better support customers and their engines through EngineWise™.

Key Job Requirements

  1. Perform new repair reviews to determine shop capability and cost analysis.

  2. Perform process certification projects to implement process improvements.

  3. Perform and follow up on internal and external quality system audits.

  4. Evaluation of procedures and processes to determine compliance with applicable requirements.

  5. Investigating non-conformances to determine root cause, identify corrective actions and track effectiveness.

  6. Leading and communicating quality initiatives within the module cells.

  7. Utilize continuous improvement tools to support the cellular concept and make process enhancements.

  8. Meet business metrics as defined by Cells (Cost, Quality, Delivery and EH&S).

  9. Demonstrate a commitment to the EH&S Program.

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality or Operations and 2-5+ years' experience in the aerospace industry

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS Engineering

  • Working knowledge of FAA regulations for a FAR 145 Repair Station

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Experience working with SAP

  • Knowledge of AS 9100/9110

  • Experience in Quality for a FAR 145 Repair Station
