United Technologies Aerospace Systems (UTAS) – Aerostructures Group; Supply Chain Organization has an immediate opening at their Chula Vista, California location for a Materials Transformation Leader. The ideal candidate will develop and manage projects across supply chain disciplines, designed to improve processes, drive efficiencies and align Aerostructures with the UTC One Company Supply Chain philosophy. Projects and initiatives to include, but not limited to; Plan for Every Part (PFEP), Lean Transformation and Standard Factory. Apply benchmarking, Best in Class industry practices, and lean six sigma tools to improve the performance of the UTC Aerostructures Supply Chain. The candidate will interface and coordinate projects with all levels of the organization, including but not limited to, Materials team, Value Streams, Programs and Site locations. Strong written and verbal communication skills will be required. Thorough understanding of operations, manufacturing and supply chain processes is vital. The ideal candidate must be well organized, disciplined, self-starter; who can work with all levels of the organization.
Thorough knowledge of Supply Chain processes.
Proficient in Excel, Power Point, Project and MRP/ERP systems.
Thorough knowledge of Project Management.
Works well in a team environment, highly motivated.
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
Strong people / interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent organization skills.
Work independently, remain calm under pressure and deal with ambiguity.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder.
Experience in the Aerospace industry.
Working in a manufacturing/operations environment.
Lean manufacturing / Continuous improvement experience.
Knowledge of Continuous Improvement / ACE (Achieving Competitive Excellence)
