The Requirements Engineer will drive technical communication and problem resolution across internal and external functional teams. Responsible for communicating customer product requirements to the appropriate teams and ensuring documentation of the compliance to the requirements. In cases where compliance is not met, coordinate the deviation request/approval process with the customer.

The Requirements Engineer’s activities and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following tasks:

-Leading cross-functional engineering teams to review and validate requirements from the customer and ensure the appropriate requirements are flowed to our suppliers.

-Interface with the customer to resolve any disagreements or ambiguities identified within the requirement documents.

-Establishing, maintaining, and adhering to a schedule for the validation and verification of requirements including the submittal and approval of deviations.

-Developing and maintaining a DOORs database of the requirements to document status and any communication between the customer and component engineering teams.

-Reporting project status data to Engineering Management and Program Office in support of monthly project and program reviews.

Qualification: Applicant must be having a working knowledge of DOORs, MS Project, EXCEL and WORD management tools and MS Office suite.

A high level of organizational skills to be able track and maintain a large database of the nacelle requirements. Must possess good communication skills to interact and drive activities within the component engineering teams.

Familiarity with aerospace industry development and certification processes is preferred, including exposure to RTCA/DO-160 and FAR 25 Requirements. Nacelle experience is a plus.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Engineering Management

BA/BS degree w/4-7+ years’ experience

MA/MS degree w/3+ years’ experience
