Are you looking to take your data science skills to the next level?

As the lead data scientist in the HR Strategy & Analytics team, you will help lead our tight-knit, entrepreneurial team to the cutting-edge of applied machine intelligence. You will help guide senior HR management in the development and implementation of strategies that better enable UTC Aerospace Systems to attract, develop, and retain an engaged, talented, inclusive, and diverse workforce. You will be integral in the execution of these strategies as well.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Perform statistical analysis and predictive modeling with advanced machine learning algorithms

  • Partner with senior HR management and subject-matter experts to improve input feature selection

  • Translate analysis into usable insights for decision makers through the development of tools, dashboards, and other visualizations

  • Perform external benchmarking and scholarly research

  • Other duties that leverage your unique skills to provide value

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Real-world experience in developing useful machine learning algorithms (experience with Python and R preferred)

  • Proficient with at least one scripting language (e.g. Python) and at least one statistical software package (e.g. R, NumPy/SciPy/Pandas)

Desired Qualifications:

  • The ability to understand the business, build strategic relationships, and proactively identify solutions to business problems through data analytics

  • Strong problem solving skills, developing entrepreneurial solutions to problems

  • Good written and verbal communication skills
