The Fire Safety Solutions group at UTC Climate, Controls & Security is dedicated to providing product and technology designed to protect people and property from the effects of fire and its related hazards. You will provide support via telephone, email and fax.
Provide field service support at customers’ site
Communicate effectively to customers via telephone, email and fax
Follow predefined procedures to identify, evaluate, solve and escalate product related issues
Reduce technical field installation time and application errors
Ensure accuracy of technical information provided to customers
Provide timely solution of technical field problems requiring attention to details
Work closely with Technical Support Representatives, providing guidance and coaching
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidate must possess intermediate knowledge in Fire and/or Sound & Communications systems, and a minimum of 3 years experience in technical/customer support.
Candidate must be able to communicate effectively both verbal and written to customers and team members.
Candidate must be able to work flexible schedules and able to travel to customer sites.
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs Excel, Word and Power Point
Candidate must be able to work with limited supervision and generate results with limited instructions.
Candidate must be able to participate in after hours “On-Call” support program.
Strong interpersonal skills.

Demonstrate the ability to use an Oscilloscope and Multi-meter
Knowledge of National Fire Protection Agency codes
National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET)
