RESPONSIBILITIES:

Looking for Embedded firmware designer responsible for the following:

  • Use real-time embedded systems, high level languages, and integrated development environments on proprietary life safety system platforms

  • Work closely with electronic design engineer on system design and integrate firmware and hardware components of the overall system design

  • Provide complete conceptual, architectural, detailed design and test documentation

Qualification:

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with 8/16 bit microcontrollers; familiarity with TI MSP430 and RENESAS RL78 Family microcontrollers is a plus

  • Able to read schematics with a basic understanding of hardware

  • Use of tools (oscilloscope, meters, etc.) for hands-on debugging purposes; some experience of low level assembly is a plus

  • Experience with debugging, support and development of real time embedded firmware systems

  • Experience with at least one of the following tool suites is desired – Rowley CrossWorks, IAR Embedded Workbench, MPLAB or MPLAB X

  • Experience with revision control systems

  • Complete conceptual, architectural, detailed design and test documentation
